Student Leaders Harp on Drug Abuse, Rape and Teenage Pregnancy

Comr. Glory Ukpeli, the SUG Vice-President has on Wednesday harped on some social vices in Nigerian tertiary institutions which always pose a great threat to academic excellence, emotional stability and mental health.

In a programme organized by the STUDENTS’ UNION GOVERNMENT in collaboration with The Dennis Project Show (TDPS), students were enlightened and sensitized at an expository symposium on drug abuse, rape, teenage and unwanted pregnancy.

The exposition which had a panel discussion, questions and answer session, recorded great attendance from students, NDLEA officials, lecturers and the Amiable Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Chinonso Achebe.

Students addicted to such vices are being called upon to seek help; as they will be given every assistance they need to begin a new life.
