A seed
Dropped in me
Through two proud
Chromosome:
Fair and black

Dilemma!
Hospice was Plunged
In-between choice
Of cloth to wear
For eternity

Why not fair?
A cloth that attract
wrinkles
Fragile and too soft
To bear the life’s lashes.

better I stretch,
And water my dear melanin,
Nurture and leave it to grow
Into a shining treasure –
Reflecting like diamond.

Black, my black
The difference I bear;
The treasure i have,
The beauty on Earth
Oh I’m beautifully black.
